Health on a Plate


Watermelon is one of the most refreshing fruits. In addition to providing a certain amount of vitamins and minerals, it nobly stimulates the production of urine in the kidneys.

Therefore, it is recommended for: kidneys and urinary tract, given its diuretic effect, superior even to melon. It is suitable for those who suffer from kidney stones, both to contribute to their elimination in cases of renal colic and to prevent their formation.

1 small watermelon
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice


Extract the pulp from the watermelon. Dice the watermelon into cubes.
In a food processor or a blender, puree the pulp of watermelon (including the pips) and lemon juice until smooth.
Pass the juice obtained to the strainer to eliminate the rest of the pips.

Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for 2 days.
