Sprouts are a living food of high biological value, they are rich in chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, magnesium, copper, zinc, potassium, iodine and the amino acids that the body needs in order to form proteins, the building blocks of tissues.

It is very easy and simple to sprout lentils at home. So if you would like to follow the growth of this seeds and watch the miracle of vital energy in action, do so by taking a desired amount of lentils and germinate them at home.

Here are tips on how to grow one of the most nutritious legume. Lentils are very nutritious and when you sprout them they become more nutritious.

I do this every week. And I believe you can do it too. Let’s get started

HOW  TO SPROUT LENTILS

  1. Take a desired amount of dry lentils, wash and put them in a wide mouthed jar.
  2. Cover the seeds with water and soak for 8 hours.

  3. Drain as much water as possible off the seeds. Cover the mouth of the jar with a cheesecloth or a fine mesh sieve and secure with a rubber band.

Now, all you need to do is to rinse the lentils twice a day; after 3 days you will have a jar full of beautiful sprouts. You can harvest them when the sprouts are about half an inch long with tiny green leaves starting to form. (It takes 3 to 7 days)

  4.
Once they reach the length you want, wash the sprouts well with fresh clean water.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
