Brown Basmati rice and Lentils

Enjoy this simple basmatic brown rice and lentils recipe. Here is something i wanted to bring to your attention, since we doing this brown rice challenge, i wanted you to know 1 thing. Brown rice is brown rice no matter the brand and white rice is white rice no matter the brand or quantity. So when you want to eat healthy rice just choose from different brands of brown rice. Not white because it’s expensive or it’s looks to be good quality than brown.


2 cups of boiled lentils
3 cups of basmatic brown rice, cooked
2 medium  fresh tomatoes, chopped
2 small bell peppers, red and yellow, sliced
1 red onion medium, diced
2 medium carrots, cut into matchsticks
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup of red cabbage , chopped
Salt  to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup of cubed cucumber


Combine rice, lentils and the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl,  mix everything together very well until well combined.

Serve and enjoy.

  1. Good lesson, i like the combination because it includes more uncooked food which is more healthier and easy to make. I’ll try it in my family.
