PUMPKIN BURGERS

Do you have pumpkin in your kitchen which has been there for so long and you don’t know what to do with it? Well you can make this delicious burgers using that pumpkin and other simple ingredients which you might have in your kitchen right now. Enjoy

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup of boiled and mashed pumpkin
  • 1 cup of boiled brown lentils, or any beans
  • 2 tsbps of whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup of chickpea flour or any flour
  • 1 tsp of onion powder, 1/2 a tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 a tsp cumin powder, salt to taste.

PREPARATION

In a bowl, add mashed pumpkin, mashed lentils, flour and the rest of ingredients. Mix everything together and form into patties. Place in an oiled baking sheet. Bake in oven until golden brown. If you have no oven follow then shallow fry the burgers. Grease the pan with oil, place it over medium low heat and place the burgers. Cook for 3 minutes on one side, flip and cook the other side. Serve with your brown bread or anything your heart desires. Enjoy
