CASHEW CREAM

This delicious dairy free cashew cream is the perfect substitute for any heavy cream in your in your recipes.

In this recipe, you will need raw cashew nuts, not roated. This recipe is very easy for anyone to make it at home. You are gonna love this.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup raw cashew nuts
2 tbsp nutritional yeast, optional
2 tbsp of fresh squeezed lemon juice

  • 1/3 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 to 1/3 cup of filtered water ( depending on the thickness you want)

PREPARATION METHOD

Place cashew nuts in a small bowl and soak in hot boiled water for 30min to 2 hours to soften. Or you can soak them in cool water for 4 to 8 hours.
 
Drain and rinse the cashew nuts, then add to a blender or food processor, with the rest of the ingredients.
 
Blend until smooth. You may need to scrape the sides if needed. Add more water if needed. Blend until you get a thick and smooth paste.
 
Transfer the cashew cream to an airtight glass container and refrigerate for up to one week.
