BURGERS BUNS

I love baking bread at home. I make this delicious, soft buns at home almost every week. I find baking at home safes me money than buying all the time. You can also make this, it’s not difficult at all. I hope you will give it a try.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups whole wheat flour.

2 cups white flour

1 and half cups of warm water

1 tsp dry active yeast

2 tbsp oil

2 tbsp honey

1tsp salt

1tbsp flaxseeds.

For the vegan egg to brush on top of your buns. 1 tbsp honey and 2 table spoon water. or you can use soy milk or any plant- based milk.

PREPARATION

Activate the yeast first in half cup of warm water. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

To make the dough pour the flour into a bowl. Add activated yeast and mix with a for fork or hands. Then add salt, flaxseeds, oil, honey and the remaining water.

Mix and knead all the dough ingredients with your hands to make a smooth soft dough.

Cover it with a cloth and let it rest at room temperature for about an hour.

Tip the dough onto a very lightly dusted work surface and press it down and knead it gently a few times. Cut the dough into 9 pieces.

To shape the dough into round balls simply place it into your palm and pull the dough from the side to the center and pinch it together. Repeat until you are happy with the shape.

Place the balls onto an oiled baking tray.

Mix the ingredients of vegan egg and brush the unbaked buns with vegan egg and sprinkle with chia seeds or any seeds you have.

Cover them with a cloth and let them rest for another 45 minutes

Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20minutes at 200°C until golden brown on the sides and lightly browned on top. Enjoy
