This easy and healthy recipe is a perfect side dish. Broccoli is among vegetables which boost the immune system. During this time of this pandemic you need to eat more of it. Don’t overcook it. 3 to 4 minutes is enough for for broccoli to be ready. Enjoy it.
1 head of broccoli
2 small bell peppers, red and yellow
1 tbsp of fresh squeeze lemon
1 small onion
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/3 of salt
Chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces and soak them in water,add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to help kill the bacterias. Leave it in that water for few minutes.
Meanwhile, dice the onion and bell peppers.
Bring water to a boil in a pot or a large saucepan.
Place the steam backet or a colander into the pot. Add the broccoli to the colander or a steam backet and cover with lid.
Let it steam for 3 to 4 minutes until broccoli is crispy and tender.
Remove the broccoli from the colander and put aside.
In a separate mixing bowl, add the onion and bell peppers, salt and olive oil and lemon juice.
Mix well with a spoon and serve.Enjoy.
