Health on a Plate


Sweet potatoes can be enjoyed in savoury and sweet dishes. In this recipe, we going to enjoy savory sweet potatoes. Cooked with green beans  and some vegetables, then reasoned with some herbs which don’t only add flavour but also add nutritional values because they are medicines on their own.
Once you have your sweet potatoes boiled, then it will take you just few minutes to make this dish, you can use your leftovers sweet potatoes. This recipe is very delicious and nutritious . Can be a great side dish. Enjoy

You can add more veggies of your choice to this recipe. You can also use any plant-based milk of your choice.


1 large orange sweet potato, boiled
1 cup of green beans
1/2 cup of soymilk or water
1 medium fresh Tomato, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small red pepper, diced
1/2 tsp of paprika
1 tsp of fennel seeds
1/2 tsp of cumin seeds
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
1 tbsp of oil

Salt to taste


1. Wash and cut the green beans, put aside.

Remove the skin of boiled sweet potato. Cut it into small pieces, put aside.

Place a pan on medium high heat, add oil (do not heat oil) , onion bell pepper, green beans, water or soymillk and the rest of the ingredients except sweet potato. Cook stirring frequently until the green beans are slightly tender. Add sweet potatoes, and mix everything together very well
Let it cook for 3 more minutes, then remove from the heat and serve.
